Eduardo Ballina is the Wonderware® Geo SCADA Business Manager. He is based in Wonderware's Lake Forest, CA headquarters. He holds a degree in Mechanical Electrical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has worked in the industrial automation field for 22 years, 12 of those with Wonderware. He started his career working with renewable sources of energy with a focus in Photovoltaic systems. In the mid 80's, he worked for the Solar Energy Lab of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In the 80's he worked in one of the first utility grid connected residential photovoltaic systems in Southern California. In 1996 he joined Wonderware as an Application Engineer for the OEM sales group where he assisted key OEMs and VARs across the globe leverage Wonderware technologies through their own offerings. He later became one of the first members of the ArchestrA consultants' team helping customers adopt Wonderware ArchestrA technology. He has also held positions as Functional Manager for Device Integration and Technical Lead for the then starting, Wonderware Industrial Computers team. Today, Eduardo Ballina serves as the Wonderware Geo SCADA Business Manager in the HMI/SCADA business group, a position he has held since 2006, looking after the Power, Oil & Gas and Water& Wastewater markets.
